Colds and Flu Season 2016 - 2017

  • The Flu, colds, bronchitis and pneumonia have devastated many offices this year. As much as we try to stay healthy, it's almost impossible when we're out in public and people are EVERYWHERE! So, given the fact that we can't live in a bubble, here are a few tips to help you stay healthy this season.

    1) Wash your hands frequently with soap and water and carry an alcohol based hand sanitizer and use it after touching grocery carts, door handles, knobs, phones, and other people like after shaking hands.

    2) Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Viruses are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with a virus and then touches his or her eyes, nose or mouth

    .

    3) Keep your distance. It’s easy to pass germs when you work or live in close quarters. Avoid close contact with colleagues, friends or family members who are sick.

    4) Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing and encourage others to do the same. Afterward, toss the tissue in the trash, and wash your hands thoroughly to remove germs.

    5) Stay home when you’re sick. If possible, stay home from work or school when you’re sick. This will help prevent spreading your illness to others.
