What do I need for asset protection and Medicaid planning?

If you’re a married individual, you have options that aren’t available to someone who is single. So, I always suggest you start with your Medicaid qualified attorney to work with, to find out exactly what you need to do. You might be able to put funds away in a standalone bank account. You might be able to do some spend downs that are legally authorized by Medicaid. You might be able to buy a house. You might be able to buy a car. There’re a lot of things that Medicaid allows you to do with your funds but, you have to speak with someone who knows what they’re doing in order to do that.
