I like to tell people to put into their pet trust everything from what they do when they get in the morning to what they do when they go to bed at night. If their dog has to be walked X number of times a day, or the cat has to be fed so many times, or if you have to change the water in the goldfish tank.

I like to tell people, "Make sure you write everything down. When does the pet go to the vet? Who do they see at the vet? What kind of needs are there? If they are going to go for special needs and the pet has a special condition, I think you should write that in there as well. You should let the caregiver know exactly what's expected of them.
